Watch them all fall down.
3/25/08 07:01 pmThe winter sky is leaving me. I love the pale yellows, the silver clouds, the washed-out blues and hovering pinks that we experience in this region during the latter half of winter. February, in particular, contains colors that make me feel peaceful and cool and relaxed.
As spring mumbles on, dripping rain and blossoms in equal measure, the sky becomes darker, more vivid -- sinister gray, brighter blue, blood-stained pinks and oranges. I'm happy enough to wait for April and May, but March always makes me feel vague and incomplete.
I'm just dancing on tiptoes waiting for the weather to warm enough that I can wear my light-weight coats, leave my scarf at home, let the chill fade from my underskin.
Come on, sunshine. Let's see you play.
