The things that bring you comfort.

bathwater, blue and violet
with a sprinkle of stars and ferocious bubbles
and the way it swirls and shudders
babbling as the drain opens
guttering as your bath ends
and your cat sits by the side
never minding that you drip on her
as you exit - she waits patiently
for you to crawl into bed
she, too wants to be under the covers
wants comfort and, purring
sets you to rest with a smile
