Now then, now that the headache moment is passed, let us think on finer things. It's a Tuesday again, as it hasn't been for a whole week, and, what's more, I'm abusing commas. Poor darlings. It's not their fault that I love them so much--it's not their fault that they're so very easy to misuse. All it takes is one word in the wrong place; one pause that shouldn't be there; one moment that comes out all wrong, and they're screaming in pain and taking the reader down with them. Do you feel the pure pathos of it all? All the grammarians in the audience are whimpering at my butchering of the language........
It's all right, though. Everything is fine. I've got to go now. I've got a fresh batch of commas on the stove, and you know how they get when you overcook them...
