Tuesdays...
12/31/02 04:43 pm...often tire you out more than they ought to.
Due to extreme sleepiness and a rash of busy-bodied fussing, this week is only going to feature one post.
Dear friends,
The new year is upon us, and what are you hoping to bring to it? I, for one, am simply hoping that this coming year will be better in most ways than last year was. Even my mother observed that last year was distinctively "strange", if not downright weird. I lost a dear friend (pet), a once-dear friend, and a lot of peace of mind. I travelled a lot and finally lost my taste for it (for a while, at least). The country started hedging not-so-slowly into a police state. It hasn't completed the descent, but things are looking more and more negative.
I admit that I do try to avoid the news as much as possible, as I usually just end up depressed.
Anyhow, next year, not this one. One must look towards the future, surely?
My birthday is in a month, as you may or may not know, and I'm going to have a bit of a party. At this party, I'm hoping to foster goodwill and happiness in amongst my friends.
In a related note, my resolution (I've got one for a change! I never make resolutions!!) is going to involve dentistry, about which the less said the better.
I think that's really all I have to say for the moment.
Happy new year, my friends.
Happy new year, and all luck and my love be with you.
