alasanonWe brought out the monsters that night. Their teeth were sharp and shining with the blood of a thousand innocent moments, just as we remembered them. Their many eyes blazed an inferno and their voices shook the house in a harsh grim symphony of caterwauls and throaty growls.
We looked them over, taking note of the ones who had gone missing and welcoming new members to the pack. Beneath our hands they seemed tamed, but this was only because we were unafraid and met their wild stares with our own fierce pride.
