Tuesdays...

alasanonsometimes are good. In the event of a Tuesday, you do not need to locate the nearest exit. You do not need to take cover. You do not need to seek help at once. Tuesdays are usually fairly safe.
This Tuesday promises to be jocular and fairly usual. As a Tuesday in the middle of the month (roughly speaking), it hasn't a great deal to do, just to lurk about in the corner with a friend or two, turn a little pale when someone says something off-colour to it, and, well, exist.
It's good to have a day once in a while where you know that, no matter how odd it may seem to be coming into it, it's quite certain to end up all right. Ah, Tuesdays.
I don't think of them as a refuge, per se, but they seem to be such a long time in coming sometimes. I'm happy this one's here.
