Tuesdays...

...come and go.

This Tuesday I have spent mostly asleep, drowning out a migraine in darkness and warmth. I woke up a paltry half-hour ago. My companion for today (and yesterday...and the day before that...) has been my furry black feline, who has made it her mission in life to find a way to snuggle up next to my stomach in any conceivable sleeping position. I think I've slept as much as she has, upping my limits to about sixteen hours a day for three days in a row. It feels interesting.

Needless to say, I have also been dreaming, and due to a migrating fever (now I'm here, now I'm not!), those dreams have been strange in various ways and vivid to the point of excess at times. Sometimes they have been merely silly. Today my most remembered dream was based around Elfquest. I won't go into details here, as it would bore and/or mystify most people. If you want to know, ask me about Rayek and his genocidal plan which was foiled by Ember and her clever use of 'Lift'. (...that is a Golden Sun reference.)

I wonder if, by the end of this (honestly, probably Thursday I'll get to go back to work), if the dark circles under my eyes that one friend told me looked like bruises will fade at all. If they haven't, well, I'll know that they are permanent.

My bosses have been pleasant and understanding about this whole illness/exhaustion thing. I'm very grateful, and will be certain to present the people who took over for me with chocolate when I get back. In that respect, it hasn't been a total waste of time, as I've been thinking of things to do with the website that aren't same-old-same-old. New logos and such. Now I need to drag myself to a sketchbook.

The other thing I've been doing is watching old/bad horror flicks. I watched Hellraiser, The Omen, and a particularly gruesome variation on Snow White. The first and last were awful by most standards. I never want to see an 80's housewife murder for her zombie lover again. Pinhead was not enough to make that movie lovable to me. Perhaps if I watched it with a crowd who liked it or were inclined to make fun of it vociferously, I might have found it more entertaining. The less said about Snow White: A Tale of Terror, the better. Snow White with a useless crossbow. There, I said it. The Omen was actually not bad. Cheesy, yes, but pretty decently made, with decent actors. One just has to get around the whole 'deadly toddler' theory and it becomes moderately interesting entertainment. I won't recommend any of the three to friends of mine who are not fond of horror flicks, but I got my money's worth.

Ah. I must now go shower and prepare for my several hours of wakeful time.

Eek! The cat has just made chicken feet! SO CUTE. ^-----^
