alasanonAhhhahaaaa, this year is full of markers. 2/22/22? I mean, you could write it fully, 02/22/2022 OR 22/02/2022 and either way, it's just zeros and twos.
February twenty-second, two thousand and twenty two AD. I almost feel like looking up what today is in other calendars, just to be contrarian about it. I won't, I'm (are you ready for it?) too tired and a little brain-mush for that. My mouth still hurts a bit, I'm still having trouble with food, albeit mostly for personal reasons rather than because I'm being actively prevented by severe pain. The sutures are incredibly irritating and I can't wait for them to dissolve fully. Anyway.
I was on a plane yesterday, and for a change it was a moderately short daytime flight. I had still woken up with the dawn, because while I know that sunrise and sunset in Los Angeles are beautiful because of pollution and such, it doesn't prevent them from being beautiful, almost full spectrum rainbows every day, silhouettes of palm trees and tall buildings creating a soft illusion of calm.
There are a lot of things like that these days.
